Could You Be Our Next Guest? Here's Everything You Need to Know

"I'm stoked! It's so good to be with you."

That's what one of our guests said when they joined us, and honestly, it's how we feel every single time someone new pulls up a chair at The Full Stop. We'd love that person to be you.

We're building a library of voices and your words matters

The Full Stop is a podcast for those who are childless, not by choice, for any reason. Over 80 episodes in, we have a growing, engaged community of listeners who tune in for honest, empathetic conversation — the highs and the lows, the complicated feelings and the hard-won wisdom. We're now actively planning our guest list, and we want to hear from you.

You don't need to be famous. You don't need a perfectly polished voice or a broadcasting setup. What you need is a story, a perspective, or a topic that matters to you — and a willingness to share it with people who will truly understand.

What kind of stories and topics are we looking for?

We welcome new stories and familiar themes revisited. We're interested in conversations that push into territory we haven't yet explored, and equally in returning to topics our listeners want to go deeper on. We love new voices and welcome back returning guests, too.

Some of the areas we're currently thinking about include:

  • Neurodivergence

  • Mental health and inherited health issues

  • Burnout

  • What parents have gained from discovering the Full Stop community

  • The experience of teachers, midwives, and others whose roles involve working with children and what it means to be childless in those spaces

  • That moment (or slow realisation) when "childless not by choice" becomes how you understand your own story

These are starting points, not limits. If you have a topic you think we need to cover (or return to) tell us. We want to hear it, even if it feels challenging or uncomfortable.

What's in it for you?

Quite a lot, as it happens. Being a Full Stop guest means:

  • A platform with reach. We'll feature you in our newsletter (which has an average 70% click rate), across our social media, and on listening platforms including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

  • Branded assets you can use. We'll create Full Stop branded graphics for your socials, plus a PNG of the podcast cover.

  • Backlinks that help your SEO. From our website and all our listening channels.

  • A permanent place in our library. Your episode will be shared for awareness days, inside our online community, and brought back into focus through our Podcast Rewind feature.

  • Long-form content you can repurpose. A deep conversation makes great short-form content too.

In return, we ask that you share your episode with your own audience — on social media, your newsletter, or wherever your people are. It's a genuine collaboration, and the more voices we amplify together, the further our community reaches.

How does it work in practice?

The form. Head to our Be Our Guest page and fill in the form. Think of it as an introduction, not an application. There are no right or wrong answers! Your submission goes to Michael, Sarah and Berenice, who review every request together as a team. Not every slot will be the right fit at the right time, but we read everything carefully and we'll be in touch if we'd like to invite you to record.

You can bring a guest, if you know someone else in the field or topic, and you’d like to suggest them, we are all ears.

The recording. We record on Riverside, a user-friendly platform and you don't need any technical knowledge to use it. We handle all of that. All you need is yourself and your story.

Show notes. After we've recorded together, we'll send you a simple form to gather your show notes. We welcome your input here as it helps us represent your episode in the best possible way.

A space for everyone

The Full Stop is built on diversity and inclusion. We are mindful of the many different experiences within the childless not by choice community — including those who are single, living with chronic illness, ageing, LGBTQIA+, coming from different faith backgrounds, or from communities whose voices are less often heard in this space. We never speak on behalf of others. We open the door.

If any part of you is wondering whether your story is worth telling, well yes, it is. Come and tell it with us.

Fill in the form and introduce yourself here.
