  • These are more ‘guidelines’ than ‘rules’. That said: in order to keep our community a nice, positive place to hang out, breach of these rules could result in your membership of the community being cancelled, and we really would hate to do that.

    1. Be kind.

Kindness wins in our eyes over anything else. Before you type, ask - would I say that to this person if they were sat next to me on my couch? If not, that’s a cue to edit.

    2. Be respectful

We're all in this together. Let's treat everyone with respect and courtesy. Healthy debates are natural, but appreciate that online humour, patience and awareness of language and cultural differences are important.

    3. Be bold

Join in as much as you like. We're here to support you.

    4. Don't over promote or spam

Give more to this group than you take. Promoting yourself or your latest thing is great but OTT self-promotion, spam, and irrelevant links can be overwhelming and prevent others from sharing. Ask questions and be helpful. We can also share your events or news in our monthly Listeners List email, ask Berenice for more details.

    5. Direct Message with consideration and kindness

It’s great that we can DM, but be considerate. They are not for all. If someone bothers you in DMs in whatever way, please let Michael Sarah or Berenice know.

The ability to DM can be revoked by admins.

    6. Respect everyone's privacy and the Intellectual Property of The Full Stop Community CIC

Being part of this group requires mutual trust. What's shared in the Community should stay in the group. Please don’t use this not for profit space as a test ground for a rival project. We love honest collaborations and will give any advice freely from our extensive learning and research, please ask.

    7. Love the moderators.

As we grow, we'll be asking for moderators to help us and they deserve all the love and biscuits for doing so. We trust their judgement and they're there to steer and guide.

    8. Trust in lived experiences

The reasons we arrive here are complex and we all have experiences to share equally. We give space for all lived experiences and honour them.

    9. Them versus us

We get that other demographics can be infuriating. We prefer to celebrate and support you and all our amazing childless selves.

    10. If it gets uncomfortable

Some topics might be difficult. If you're not sure then it's wise to avoid them unless you're delivering a useful link. If you're feeling uncertain contact a moderator or Michael, Sarah or Berenice. The decision of the directors is final but we’re obviously hoping to never have to intervene.

Please note that this Community is not moderated 24 hours.

    Our diversity statement

The Full Stop Community CIC is committed to creating a diverse environment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, or age.

To keep our community safe, here are the legal terms and conditions of The Full Stop Community which are below. You can also read our informal guidelines.
